Yin Yoga is a quiet, calming, meditative practice set in a room lit by candles and with calming music.  Yin Yoga focuses on lengthening connective tissues and is meant to compliment any physical workout or other yoga practice, such as Vinyasa or Ashtanga.  Poses are passive, meaning you're supposed to relax your muscles and calm the mind and body.  Poses can be connected to the breath, or held for several minutes.  Yin Yoga also enables you to release deep bundles of tension in key joints like your ankles, knees, hips, back, neck and shoulders.

Who is it for?:  Everyone!  This class is perfect for those who are already active looking for calming and deep stretching.  Also great for those looking to unwind and relax!
