The Hub PT Olympic Weightlifting club in High River, Alberta is hosting Masters Weightlifting Seminar on Saturday, February 29th.

Ages 30+

$35 for CMWFHC members
$50 for non-CMWFHC members.

Led by our coaches, Lisa Szabon-Smith and Jennifer Hamilton
(both NCCP Level 1 Certified).

Lisa has been coaching a team of primarily masters weightlifting athletes for the last 4 years and has also worked closely with “older” clients in private and small group training sessions.

Jennifer has been supporting our team’s masters athletes through assisting Lisa with coaching and programming.
Lisa and Jennifer have both competed many times in local competitions, including the annual Gordon Kay Masters competition held by the Alberta Weightlifting Association (AWA), as we are both masters weightlifting athletes as well.

Lisa has a large breadth of national level competitive experience in Bobsleigh, and Jennifer recently competed at the USAW’s Masters World Cup (this was our team’s first experience with an international weightlifting competition).

The Hub PT is located in High River, Alberta, approximately 30 minutes south of Calgary where there is a growing weightlifting community, especially in the master’s age categories.

We are an easily manageable drive to get to, as many people commute daily between High River and Calgary for work. As well, athletes are willing to travel from Calgary to train at our facility with our coaches.

We are also 1.5 hours from Lethbridge and 2.5 hours from Medicine Hat. An overnight stay at one of our 3 major hotels might be recommended after a long day learning all about Masters weightlifting.
