Beginner Classes are for students who are starting their Kung Fu training and advancing towards intermediate levels of skill*. Beginner students typically schedule two or three class times per week for training. Classes focus on the important and effective fundamental techniques and initial self-defense skills that help students feel improvements in agility, fitness, strength, confidence and energy. These are the important techniques that make training in the Choy Lay Fut style at the Tat Wong Kung Fu Academy so beneficial for overall health and personal safety. Beginner classes also prepare students for more advanced techniques and Kung Fu forms. Once students reach jade belt, after about a year of training, they should feel prepared for the intermediate classes.
*Returning students may choose to attend beginner classes to refresh skills and prepare again for more advanced classes by working with our Front Desk staff or Instructors.
Students must book in advance and follow special Covid-19 re-opening procedures and protocols regarding entry and exit into school and classes and physical distancing in line for entry and during classes. Only 12 students per class allowed, please make sure to only book one class at a time with a maximum of 2 classes per week.
