Whether you are a new or seasoned yogi, this two-part foundational series focuses on the practices within the Eight Limbs of Yoga.
Practitioners will experience an interactive. safe, and awakening introduction to yoga history, the yamas and niyamas (yogic philosophy), asana (postures), pranayama (breath work), and dhyana (meditation).
In the first class, emphasis will be placed on exploring the history of yoga, yogic philosophy, and safe alignment in foundational postures.
The second class will build upon the first and encourage the connection of movement (postures) with breath (pranayama) with a special focus on one-breath per movement sun salutations, as well as an exploration of various meditation practices.
Props will be used so every body can access and fully experience each posture.
All body types and abilities welcome.
