Classical Pilates is a method of physical conditioning that works on strenghth, flexibility and alignment. Exercises are performed in prescribed order, each exercise complimenting and contrasting the ones before and after it to balance out the muscles. Each exercise begins from the core (powerhouse) and works it way outward to target specific muscles. Low impact and low numbers of repition ensure both decrease the likelihood of injury and the possibility that the larger non-targeted muscle groups take over and make the exercise less specific and effective. Class will be approximately 75 min and in a warm room.
