This is the place to start if you are 50+ and want to start learning yoga. Emphasis on supported postures that increase mobility of joints, strength of the neck, shoulders, spine, and limbs. Learn to stand correctly, balance well on the feet, promote digestive health, improve overall circulation, and attain mental clarity.
Have a clear floor near a wall for a practice area. You will need a mat and blocks or folding chair. Bolsters and blankets are recommended but not absoutely necessary.
