This class uses flowing movement, breath and a series of progressive stretching and strengthening exercises to build the core muscles, spinal mobility and full-body strength and flexibility. Drawing from diverse movement systems like yoga, tai chi, gymnastics and swimming, Gyrokinesis is a workout like no other that leaves you feeling refreshed, energized, strong and grounded.
This Level III class is appropriate for clients who have previous Gyrokinesis experience and no significant injuries and Level II students who are regularly attending Tuesday classes. Like classical Pilates, Gyrokinesis classes follow a prescribed order of exercises. Jessica picks a specific family of exercises or theme for class each week. This class is typically a repeat of the Tuesday level II class at a faster pace and stronger emphasis on flowing movement.
