For students
already familiar with yoga looking to be challenged with a warm
slow flow Vinyasa style class. This class will typically start off
with sun salutations which is a great way to warm up the body and
ramp up the intensity of the practice . Vinyasa Yoga connects one
posture to the next using the breath. In this class you will be
linking or flowing into postures which is why it’s call Vinyasa
FLOW. The philosophy of Vinyasa recognizes the temporary nature of
things. We enter into a posture, are there for a while and then
leave. This class will work on improving your strength and balance
in a fun and challenging way.
Vinyasa Flow can induce a Flow State, a type of consciousness defined by psychologist Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi as, “That place of being fully absorbed and highly focused,” on what we are doing. During “Flow” everything feels easy and connected, what yogis call “effortless effort.”
*The added heat can increase flexibility in postures and help you get an extra sweat !
