Thai massage is all about family and community, and we are all about Thai Massage! Thai Massage was developed by the people of Thailand; it started out as a way to help other family members relax and recover after a long day of hard work. Often, the children would work on their parents, easing sore muscles and stretching them out. How great is that? So bring yourself, possibly a partner, and lets have some fun!
In this class you will learn
Basic Traditional Thai Massage techniques that are taught at The
Old Medicine Hospital in Chiang Mai, Thailand, along with some Thai
culture and philosophy. You will learn how best
to apply Thai Massage compression and stretching
techniques for your client with your fingers, thumbs, palms,
elbows, knees and feet. You will learn proper body mechanics
to ensure longevity in your practice of Thai Massage, and to help
keep your body healthy and balanced.
After completing this class, you will be able to perform a
60-90 minute Thai Massage, and you will also qualify to take the
intermediate, Level 2 course. Anyone can participate in this
