Learn how to quite your mind, embrace stillness, find inner calm and a deeper sense of relaxation in this practice. In the yogic content, Meditation or Dhyana is defined as a state of pure consciousness or enlightenment and it follows the path of dharana the art of concentration. Meditation, the act of focusing your mind, is a part of a well-rounded yoga practice and takes practice. A few minutes every once in a while isn't likely to give you the mind stillness you seek but consistency will. The more you practice and are able to quite your thoughts the more you will begin to experience true presence. Being present or in the moment creates the mind-body connection that yoga is known for. Meditation can be very freeing but getting the hang of it can also be challenging. In this class we will combine some yoga postures to ease the distracted mind, and breath work to help facilitate meditation. This is an “All Levels” practice and Beginner Friendly.
