Vinyasa yoga is athletic in approach—synchronized breathing an important tool. Our CONNECT yoga class offers you a wider variety of movement at a faster pace. Plan to master not only alignment, but stability and grace as you transition from one dynamic posture to the next. Your own practice will benefit from occasional demonstrations and breakdowns of more complicated yoga postures. Continue to build strength, range of motion, and balance, but also improve your technique, skill, and agility. CONNECT with yoga at a higher level! Beginners are always welcome in any class, but we encourage you to sample a MELD class before registering for CONNECT. In addition, we suggest that all members take a CLEAVE class during the workout week. Mixing up your workout style will help to build new muscle; reduce over-use injuries; challenge the brain; and introduce you to a few new workout buddies!
Please register for class 30 minutes prior to the start of class - due to COVID precautions we need some extra time to ensure the space has been prepared for students. If you miss the deadline please contact us to ensure there's space for you in the room - firstname.lastname@example.org
Wear a mask until you are set up on your mat. Those that are fully vaccinated are welcome to remove their masks when in place on their mat.
You'll often need a yoga mat, blocks and a strap for class. If you don't have those items handy, a beach towel, books and a belt work just as well. We normally have them to use at the studio, but as mentioned above we're being extra careful right now. Blocks, Straps and Mats may be purchased in the studio for a nominal fee.
Arrive at the studio 5-10 minutes early so we can say hello to one another, hear what you'd like to work on in class and you can learn any special instructions or modifications that might be useful for you during practice.
