We offer CLEAVE as a way to build strength and stamina in all
muscle groups, including the core, legs, arms, and glutes. This
ballet barre fitness approach blends elements from ballet, pilates,
and yoga–with no dance experience required! You’ll use a ballet
barre, ball, hand weights, and resistance band to get big results
from small movements. Body positioning is key as you pulse through
repetitive motions designed to leave your muscles fatigued and
shaking. Your joints will thank you for the added support they’ll
receive from stronger, toned muscles!
Barre fitness is a great complement to our yoga classes. We’ve found it to be beneficial to athletes (including experienced yogis) who are at risk of over-stretching. And, its low-impact movements are often a gentler way for people with arthritis, joint replacement, and joint sensitivity to develop muscle strength, endurance, and balance.
