A pole dance heel isn’t just a heel, it’s a TOOL. It’s a sexy, fun, flirty tool, but without it, half of the things we do, especially in exotic, just wouldn’t be the same.
In this class students will be guided through a full-body warm-up addressing the entire body, particularly the ankles and feet to prepare their bodies for wearing shoes. Students will then learn a number of different techniques and short sequences of low-flow moves, breaking down and drilling each section of the sequence with the intention of improving your dancing abilities in platform stilettos. Students will then take these new techniques/sequences out for a spin in the Free Dance portion of the class. This will allow students the space to find their own style in their heels while maintaining safe technique and mechanics.
Here are some examples of techniques we train in this class: body rolls, heel work (platforms, toebox, edgework), low flow/base work, sensual movement and much more. Come find your “style” while building your Exotic Heels foundation for future choreo based classes.
