Core Stability and Stretch for the Low Back
Deep yet gentle strengthening to bring more stability and comfort throughout the day
This four week series, run by Devon Honywill, is intended for people of all levels who experience low back pain either during fitness activities or periodically throughout the day.
The classes will be run informally with opportunities to ask questions in order to ensure proper engagement and alignment throughout the strengthening and stretching components. Learning to engage the muscles of the deep core can be extremely challenging and does require proper guidance.
This series is being kept to a small number of participants, which will allow for everyone to progress effectively and find their deep core muscles while attending other fitness or yoga classes. Classes will progress so that participants first learn how to engage their core before moving on to more advanced sequences that will challenge the core and pelvic stability. As well, all classes will be broken up by periods of rest with time to stretch and create space in the low back.
Particpants will end the series feeling stronger and with tools to use in everyday life, allowing you to move safely as well as ways to relax the low back when you are experiencing discomfort.
It is recommended to attend all 4 classes to get the most benefits and learn from the beginning.
