What are you grateful for? Our "Grateful Dead" inspired Yin Yoga class has all of the traditional components of a Yin yoga class except that while performing each asana you get to be "grateful" and groove to Grateful Dead inspired playlists.
Yin yoga is similar to static stretching except that it has three basic principles. Get into the pose. Find your sweet spot. Resolve to be still.
Yin yoga unlike its Yang counterpart works on the connective tissue, bones and organs and follows the meridian lines of Eastern medicine.
You may hold any one pose three minutes to 20 minutes (we don't go that long!). Each pose is somewhat similar to the asana of yang yoga but the intention is different.
This class is a floor based practice that encourages the use of props like blocks and blankets to allow for complete release into each asana.
