You don’t
have to be flexible to do yoga! You become more flexible because
you do it. Whether you’re new to yoga, rehabilitating from an
injury, returning to practice after time away or just want to
reconnect with the basics, this 6 week Beginner Yoga Course is for
you! A slower paced class dedicated to learning foundational poses
and correct alignment with emphasis on linking breath and movement
while promoting strength, flexibility, and mindfulness.

I
am overweight. Can I still do yoga? You bet! This class is
a perfect way to get started.
I am
tight as a board. Can I still do yoga? That's the whole point! To
GAIN flexibility, not start with it!
What do I wear? Pretty much whatever you would
workout in.
Do I have to go barefoot? Shoes are not worn in
yoga, but if you are not comfortable in bare feet, there are
special yoga socks you can purchase at the studio that will prevent
slipping. Regular socks are not recommended as slipping in some
poses may occur.
Do I need a yoga mat? Nope. We have them. But if
you are going to stick with yoga we recommend getting your own to
reduce germ exposure. We sell them at the studio, so ask your
teacher which one they recommend.
Should I bring water? We recommend having water
on-hand. In the slower paced classes it is not always needed, but
it's best to have, just in case.
