This class is perfect for moms and anyone who is looking to find out how to use their core the right way. In the beginning we will learn how to engage the abs, and how to identify and relax the muscles that are overcompensating and sending your abs on “vacation”. Next, we will focus on finding balance between the core and the back muscles to improve everyday movements. Finally, participants will explore the connection between the abdominal pressure and posture, imbalance of which may result in a large-looking belly. The goal of the class is to teach how to exercise abs safely and effectively without damaging the pelvic floor. All exercises are safe for individuals with Diastasis Recti.
This is a 4 week course which meets once a week for a 50 minute session. An additional 20 min. one-on-one consultation is included with a paid tuition. The consultation can be scheduled anytime before or during the course. Maximum capacity: 6 participants. Total cost: $60.
