For beginning and intermediate students who have some understanding of the alignment concepts, relevant anatomy, and basic vocabulary of yoga, this class expand the exploration of pre-asana and classical yoga asanas, introducing some intermediate asana and refinement of alignment. Emphasis is on continuing to develop balance between strength and flexibility, muscular engagement, and relaxation. Poses are typically held for longer and more variations of postures are introduced. In this class Zoreh supports you in accessing your strengths from a deep sense of compassion and to move gently and mindfully. This practice calms the nervous system, releases excess tension and stress from your body, and opens up pathways for the breath to bring ease, freedom, and spaciousness to your mind.
