New to practicing Hatha Yoga? This class is for you! A yoga class described as ‘Hatha’ will typically involve a set of physical postures (yoga poses) and breathing techniques. These are typically practised more slowly and with more static posture holds than a Vinyasa flow or Ashtanga class. we will introduce you to the fundamental postures that make up a yoga practice along with helpful tools, tips, and modifications to support you along the way. No tricky transitions! You can look forward to this class easing you into a beginner’s practice that you can then build from and strengthen at your own pace - taking away tidbits of information each time to help you better understand this form of self care at a deeper level. There will focus on breathing as well as tuning your awareness into your mind and body. We hope this class serves you as a stepping stone into a yoga practice that you can come back to for a lifetime!
Arrive at least 10 minutes early. Please bring your own mat. Other Props will be provided that are throughly cleaned after each use. If you feel more comfortable to bring own props including yoga blocks, yoga strap or an extra blanket. We also have some available for purchase. Enjoy Class!
