In this Hatha based class, attention is given to developing
the skill of mindfulness ~ staying present and aware by connecting
the body, breath and mind. The practice begins with coming into
one’s breath, a brief silent meditation and slow warm-up. The pace
of the physical practice allows for time to focus on basic
alignment and body positioning. Synchronizing the breath to one’s
movement throughout the practice is strongly emphasized.
Class may include invigorating and strengthening sequences. Students are encouraged to work at their own pace and level. Props and modifications are used as needed. This blended practice is designed to create a sense of inner alignment and wholeness. Appropriate for all levels.
This class is accessible to beginners who have completed the Weekend Introduction class, or an equivalent, yet enjoyable and invigorating for more experienced practitioners.
