<p>This yin yoga asana practice works with the upward flow of energy through the chakra energy system. To achieve this, perception, attention, and the gentle restorative holding of asana (postures) will aid in the flow and funnelling of energy to each chakra.</p>
<p>Starting from the root chakra (Muladhara) and working our way one chakra at a time to the crown chakra (Sahaswara). This guidance of energy up the chakra-s will lead to balance mentally, physically, and energetically. Through out the practice there will be implementations of Tantra by the use of Mantra (sacred sound). The chanting of sacred sound will help further bring the energy and attention to the individual chakra-s. The cultivation of grounding, vitality, creativity, discipline, clear seeing, love, aspiration, amongst other aspects will be found as we move through the 7 chakra-s.</p>
<p>The Asana (postures) will be gentle, bolster supported, and restorative. The real practice comes with the softening and deepening into the body and perception of energy being worked with in each extended posture.</p>
<p>Each practice will begin with a warm up, a brief pranayama (breath practice), and a consecration of practice with intention, before moving into the postures.</p>
