Originating in the Italian Renaissance courts of the 15th
Century and eventually spread to France, Ballet’s history is
reflected in the continued predominance of French vocabulary and
terminology of ballet.
A traditional classical ballet class with a focus on proper technique needed to improve and progress to the next level of study. This full repertoire class commences with traditional barre exercises incorporating port de bras and correct core body strength. Center work is focused on adagio, pirouettes, petit allégro and grand allégro. Musicality is emphasized as students are exposed to a variety of both classical and contemporary composers.
Beginner/Intermediate: High Beginner to low intermediate level. 3 - 5 years of Ballet required.
Footwear:
Ballet Shoes, Jazz Shoes recommended. Bare feet acceptable.
