Virtual Live Stream - Pre-registration required minimum 1 hour before class.
Afrobeats is a popular music genre originating in West Africa in countries including Nigeria and Ghana, and across the African diaspora. The style is anchored in West African music styles, particularly high life music. Afrobeats dance is directly influenced by Afrobeats music which is derived from and combines many musical genres. Afrobeats dance comes directly from the popular street dances in Africa; such as Kuduro, Azonto, Soukous, and more.
All these different genres are typically inspired by local tribal forms of dances that morphed and developed over time. Join us for this fun cultural journey through high-energy, rhythmic movements of the body.
