Virtual Live Stream - Pre-registration required minimum 1
hour before class.
The term Bollywood was created by combining Bombay (the city
now called Mumbai) and Hollywood. Throughout its evolution,
Bollywood dance has been influenced by classical Indian dance, folk
dances from various parts of India like Kathak and Bharata Natyam,
as well as Cabaret and Disco. Since the 1980s, Bollywood dancing
has been heavily influenced by Western dance styles including Hip
Hop.
You can’t help but smile in this class full of character and energy. Class consists of a warm up, basic Bollywood combinations across the floor, and choreography.
All Levels: No previous Bollywood dance experience
required.
Footwear: Clean indoor runners or bare feet.
