Aerial straps are a pair of cotton or nylon apparatus suspended in which the aerialist wraps the ends around their wrist and arms and performs rolls, twists, and maneuvers similar to men’s gymnastic rings. Straps are a very physically demanding apparatus where strength is fundamental in performing tricks.
Students in this class will start to learn the fundamental movements and positions of this discipline. Positions include skin-the-cat, meathook, nutcracker, front support, front/back balances, and other two-arm skills.
