METTA: A Loving Kindness Meditation
The purpose of this Special is to practice a guided Loving Kindness (Metta) Meditation. Metta meditation is an ancient Buddhist practice to open the heart and develop unconditional positive feelings toward oneself and others. The practice can decrease our stress response, increase well-being and help us release judgment.
Students can expect an introduction/discussion of Metta, some brief movement to open the heart and a guided Loving-Kindness meditation.
This is meditation session is designed for students who wish to practice guided meditation, those who want to cultivate more compassion in their lives, or students looking to create more inner peace.
No experience required!

Required materials: Pillows, bolsters and any props that make it easy for you to sit comfortably for a long time
