In Yin yoga, we focus on stressing the fascia in a safe and gentle way. All tissues, bones and joints need the appropriate amount of stress so they don't atrophy. Poses are held in a Yin way for 3-5 minutes targeting certain areas of the physical body as well as the energetic body. Practicing Yin can allow the fascia to gentle stretch allowing for more mobility and range of motion. This is the perfect class to create balance in our very Yan like culture and traditional yoga practice. We need both!
