Supreme
Release Yoga, or SRY is accessible and advanced- a gentle, deeply
nourishing yoga asana practice that emphasizes restoration and
inner illumination. By working to release spinal tension and over
time clear patterns of stress, our bodies, minds, and spirits are
restored and rejuvenated.
SRY
can most closely be compared to restorative yoga; we use generous
propping to fully support the body for maximum relaxation and
presence. Each asana is designed to place the body in specific
angles to access intentional areas of stress, and to provide relief
and clearing. Paired with contemplative teachings from the rich
heart of the yoga and vedic tradition, our hearts are cared for as
well.
This
practice is suitable for all beings and supports a vast variety of
bodies and abilities. The nourishing nature of SRY makes it an
incredible compliment to our busy lives and our more active
