Take your yoga practice to the lake this summer! Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga combines our love of nature, adventure, and yoga - whether you're a first time paddle boarder, new to yoga, or have years of experience, this class is for you! Our SUP Yoga instructors, Kristin and Meryl, are certified and experienced in SUP Yoga to ensure a safe and friendly experience.
SUP Yoga is a fun way to get comfortable moving on a floating surface and connect to your fluid nature. We'll begin on land with an introduction to SUP equipment and safety before we take a short paddle and drop our anchors for the yoga class. Class ends with a sweet savasana (final relaxation) lying down on your board before paddling back to land.
SUP Yoga meets at the Austin Lake Boating Access off of Austin Lake Public Access Road in Portage, MI. Look for an email from us two days before your scheduled class confirming details regarding location and equipment.
Signing up for this $20 SUP Yoga with your OWN Board means you will be bringing your own paddle board, paddle, anchor, and life jacket to Austin Lake for class. If you need to rent SUP equipment for class, go back to the class schedule and sign up for SUP Yoga + Board rental.
When registering for SUP Yoga, make sure you have a current cell phone number in your WellnessLiving online profile in case we need to contact you regarding a weather cancellation or change of location due to water conditions.
Plan to arrive a few minutes early and be ready to start class at 6pm.
