Just as Yoga & Ayurveda recognize three physical doshas: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha, they also recognize three qualities of consciousness: clarity, activity, and inertia. These Maha Gunas (or Supreme Qualities) are the primal forces of nature that impact intelligence, energy, and substance to the universe. While all three are necessary for our existence, the practices of Yoga & Ayurveda can shape the degree to which we identify with any one of them. Join Kara on a journey through the Maha Gunas with practices designed to impart more balance, tranquility, harmony, and stability. Classes will include āsana, prānayama, and meditation as well as satsang time. Bring a notebook should you feel inspired to take notes or make a journal entry.
In studio space is limited to 13 students. Reserve early to save your spot! This class is also available to take online, and the livestream option includes access to the weekly recording to use at your convenience throughout the session. Registering for the In Studio series is in-person only and does not include access to the recordings. This policy is in place so that people signing up for the In Studio option do not hold that space from someone else who wants to and is able to attend in person. Missed classes will not be refunded.
