<p>A<em>ll levels are welcome. This class is appropriate for beginners. No yoga experience is necessary.</em></p>
<p>This is an eclectic practice for cultivating physical health and mental well-being especially for our seniors. Hatha yoga uses bodily postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama) and meditation techniques (dyana) with the goal of bringing about a sound, healthy body and a clear, peaceful mind. The asanas work to make the spine supple, the core strong and supple, and to promote circulation in the organs, glands, and tissues. Hatha yoga postures strengthen and stretch the body, promoting balance and flexibility.<em> YFHA also includes </em>functional movements, and neurological exercises. Various disciplines are included in addition to Yoga such as Tai Chi and Fitness Training. The combination of many modalites creates a fun and highly effective practice experience. Modifications are offered to meet each student’s ability. </p>
