Take the weight of the world off your
shoulders with this informative, explorative and supportive
livestream workshop. Elise will give guidance on how to balance
this area with better symmetry and alignment. You'll also learn how
to safely increase flexibility and strength in this area of the
body, taking into account the whole body to assist and support a
healthy neck and shoulder condition.
The last part of the workshop will explore the theme of, “Live from your heart, not your head,” with heart opening, restorative poses with breath awareness. This practice is effective for reducing the stresses of responsibility that physically manifest in the shoulder, neck and upper back.
Teachers are invited to join this workshop to learn more about how to help students with chronic neck and shoulder issues. Not intended for those in acute pain or with acute neck/shoulder injuries. All levels are welcome.
Props you will need

a yoga mat

2 blocks (books or low stool)

8 or 10 foot yoga belt (or long scarf, rope or belt)

2-3 foot wide wall space. (4-5 foot wide wall space if you need it for your back in standing poses)

a yoga chair or any sturdy chair without arms or wheels

3 blankets or beach towels (2 hand towels or 2 washcloths if you have scoliosis)

yoga bolster (couch pillows or rolled up blankets)
