Restorative Yoga with Dindy is an accessible practice of relaxation with a small selection of poses - entirely on the mat - in which students use their props to support themselves to comfortably ease into a pose that could last from 3 to 5 minutes.
Conscious breathing during the poses engages the body and mind to join together (the very meaning of the word yoga) to create a graceful, peaceful and beneficial state of being.
Students are encouraged to be mindful of their personal edges and come out of poses or adjust themselves as needed. Restorative classes encourage flexibility and aim to decrease stress. The holding time in each pose is long enough to create a gentle stretching sensation that allows for relaxation. Each class ends with a long and juicy Savasana or resting pose sometimes including a guided meditation or just moments of blissful silence.
