The first 15 minutes of class is spent warming up and prepping your Aerial Yoga space, followed by 45 minutes of class time. DO NOT BE LATE FOR THIS CLASS! Yoga pants required. No shorts. DO NOT WEAR JEWELRY.
We’ll use pole-silks to create similar shapes and poses as traditional yoga and flexibility classes, but inverted and slightly off the ground. Inverted poses (i.e. hanging upside down) will help decompress the spine, and stretch tight muscles. The focus on the class will be on muscle lengthening, decompression, increasing blood flow, breathing, and inversion conditioning.
Open for all levels. This means anyone is able attend the class regardless of experience, HOWEVER, there may be some things you can’t do yet and that’s OK!!! It’s not uncommon for students to receive modifications from the instructor or create their own modification.
Bring a small towel for wiping the pole and/or your body. DO NOT APPLY ANY LOTION OR OILS FOR 24 HOURS PRIOR TO COMING TO CLASS.
