ONLINE (via Zoom) - Therapeutic Essentials: Yoga for Shoulders, Spine, and Neck
A six week series addressing upper body discomfort, tension, and tightness from computer work, driving/commuting, healthcare work, serving work and other occupations that might require long periods of sitting or standing. Each week will include Yoga movement, poses, and sequences for mobility and stability, self myofascial massage (using massage/tennis balls and blocks), Restorative and Yin Yoga, breathing work and meditation.
Designed with finding comfort in daily life in mind, the series will provide participants with yoga techniques and tools to address specific problem areas of discomfort and to bring freedom and ease back to the upper body with a blissful balance of space and strength.
Participants will be provided with weekly Yoga poses and sequences (via illustrated pdfs and short recordings) to explore movement throughout the week. In addition, each participant will receive a personalized intake to address specific goals and challenges.
Offered by Maria Hillier, a current Yoga Therapy Student with Ajna Yoga (Victoria, BC), this series is part of her educational program and she will be mentored over the course of the series by a Yoga Therapist/Instructor.
