In this course, we will
be opening ancient doorways to health and happiness in our
contemporary times.
Meditation can calm the nerves,
enhance breathing, improve connectivity between brain regions,
reduce chronic pain, increase melatonin levels to promote restful
sleep patterns, improve attention and concentration, activate the
body's relaxation response to maintain mental and emotional health,
and grace us with a general sense of well-being.
What will be unique to this
program is that along with mindful awareness and breath work,
Frankie will guide you into traditional practices of moving Qi
(your vital life force energy) for self-healing.
In Qigong we learn to “Feel Qi,
Get Qi, Move Qi.” What does this mean? Learning to understand the
body's life force energy allows us to not only monitor our state of
health and happiness, it also offers us techniques to decrease
pain, improve strength, build our immune system, balance emotional
and mental stress, increase organ health, and bring a quality of
contentment into our lives. We feel luminous even in the face of
external stressors.
Qigong Meditation includes standing forms, quiet forms, and powerful self-healing forms. The path is two fold: we create a strong body condition through posture/movement and cultivate mind power with meditation.
