Yoga has many tools to cultivate emotional health. This 10-hour workshop will include discussion of yoga’s teachings on states of mind (vyasa), models of energy (gunas, brahmana, langhana), and tools to manage symptoms of anxiety. This workshop will include lecture, group discussion, and guided practices. Additional resources will be provided to participants. Participants are encouraged to bring note-taking materials, a practice mat, and wear comfortable clothing for movement. Yoga Alliance CEUs are available for participation in this training. This workshop is designed for anyone who is interested in learning tools to build emotional health.
This class will be led by Dr. Kim Allen, a certified 500-hour teacher and 500-hour yoga therapist through the American Viniyoga Institute. Kim has her doctorate in Health Education and has been teaching yoga since 1996 to a wide range of specialty populations.
