Yoga philosophy shares many elements with Positive Psychology. In this 10-hour workshop we will discuss the research from positive psychology including; cognitive reframing (pratipaksha bhavana), cultivating gratitude, and developing flow. This workshop will include lecture, group discussion, and guided practices. Additional resources will be provided to participants. Participants are encouraged to bring note-taking materials, a practice mat, and wear comfortable clothing for movement. Yoga Alliance CEUs are available for participation in this training.
This class will be led by Dr. Kim Allen, a certified 500-hour teacher and 500-hour yoga therapist through the American Viniyoga Institute. Kim has her doctorate in Health Education and has been teaching yoga since 1996 to a wide range of specialty populations.
