Join Inna Essence and Mini Makers & Co for a fun afternoon of clay play. Children will learn how to make a Under the Sea themed wall or door hanging from polymer clay to take home.
Sarah the owner and facilitator of Mini Makers & Co has experience making jewellery and small craft projects with polymer clay. She will guide the children through the basics of working with polymer clay to design and create a polymer clay Under the Sea themed plaque which can be used as a door or wall hanging. Children will be guided through different techniques to make a sea creature…fish, stingray, starfish, octopus, sharks!
Polymer clay is a popular type of clay used to make jewellery, beads, sculptures and much more! It’s great for children as its soft, flexible and easy to shape with lots of bright colours; making it the ideal medium for all children and skills levels. It is a synthetic type of modelling clay which can be baked in the oven to harden and is non-toxic. Clay play has many benefits for children:
- Develops motor skills
- Builds thinking skills
- Provides a multi-sensory experience
- Helps children express their emotions
Each workshop includes all tools and materials to get your children creative and have fun with polymer clay!
Mini Makers & Co hosts polymer clay workshops for children and adults. We have a range of workshops and polymer clay projects tailored to different age groups. Group sizes start at a minimum of 5 to a maximum of 10.
