This 60 min Aerial Yoga is
simply doing yoga in a suspended silk hammock. It is a tool to help
students achieve the traditional yoga positions that they never
thought possible. You will use the hammock to improve your
flexibility, joint mobility, strength and alignment.
Aerial yoga will “turn your world upside down.” Aerial Yoga is safe inversion therapy. Zero-Compression on the spine! Hanging upside down decompresses the vertebrate of your spine from the long-term effects of gravity. It will help create space between your vertebral discs for the nerves of your spinal cord. Realign and open up your physical body by using gravity! Realign your spirit by “flying”.
Aerial Yoga is appropriate for all levels! It is for every age, shape and size. Don’t worry about falling out of the silks. They are engineered to hold 2000 lbs. They are silky smooth and will support you!

Why Give Aerial Yoga A Try?
Medical Community often treat the symptoms of back pain: with anti-inflammatory medication, electrical stimulation, ultrasound and cortisone injections.
One of the biggest contributing factors to back pain is spinal compression:
Our bodies are at the mercy of “gravity.” Gravity and muscle imbalances shove the vertebrate together pressing on your discs. Nerve pressure can cause pain.
Aerial Yoga is inversion therapy. It diminishes the effect of gravity by reducing the compression of the vertebrate into discs and allows the muscles and ligaments to relax.
What do I bring to an Aerial
Yoga Class?
Bring a yoga mat to class. Wear a t-shirt that covers your underarms completely—the hammocks can rub on the upper arms and armpits. Do not use hand lotion before class, wear jewelry, belts, or clothing with zippers or buttons, gems, or anything that could potentially snag the fabric. Wear snug fitting clothing. Avoid shorts or very baggy clothing. Avoid eating or drinking acidic liquids an hour prior to class. Please observe good personal hygiene and wear deodorant in consideration for the next person using the hammock. *We ask that you wear a shirt with sleeves and long shorts or pants for Aerial Yoga to prevent chaffing and preserve our aerial silks. For safety reasons, please remove jewelry.
