AGES 5 to 10 - “Yoga for Kids” Class Description:
- Class begins with a greeting game & creating a positive affirmation such as “I am awesome.” Affirmations are like an “intention” in that they help the child recognize they have the power to change themselves internally and how they interact with the world externally.
- Breathing Games (Body Awareness and Connection)
- Sun Salutations for Children (Yoga Postures and Movement)
- Be a Leader - “Simon Says” Yoga Cards
- Cooperation and Trust Games
- Relaxation Games & Sharing
Fun yoga props that will be used include: blocks, blankets, aerial silks, therapy balls, foam rollers.
