When winter's gloom darkens your mood, yoga can brighten your days.
Warm up your winter blues and lighten up your spirit. Seasonal Affective Disorder, Anxiety, and Depression affect us differently in Winter. The practice of yoga and pranayama (breathing) techniques can help us cope with emotions to get us through the dark, cold days of winter. Learn patterns that reinforce depression and how to break the cycle to promote change. In this 6 week series, you will be guided through Gentle and Restorative Yoga postures specifically designed to balance emotions with the seasonal energetic shift. There will be an emphasis on poses that open the heart and align the head and neck. Breathing techniques are also incorporated to invigorate the mind. Body, mind, and spirit will be nourished.
This series meets each Sundays Jan 16 - Feb 20, 10:30am - 11:45am.
