Ayurveda translates to “the wisdom of life”. Estimated to be at least 5000 years old, Ayurveda is the oldest known health care system still in existence today. Yoga and Ayurveda work together, considered to be 2 sides of the same coin, offering practices and guidance to know oneself on a deep level and live life in the healthiest way possible.

This series of 3 workshops will introduce you to the concepts and practices of Ayurveda. Take one workshop for $30, or all three for $75. Each 90minute session will provide education and understanding of Ayurveda on a level for all to comprehend. There will always be opportunity for questions and discussion. You will engage in some practices in each session relating to the educational content of that session. All will be gentle and available to everyone, including breathwork, self-massage, stretching, meditation, journaling, light gentle movement and floor poses-no flow. You will receive a reading list and websites for your personal use and occasional handouts.

Here is a brief outline of content intended to be covered in each session (may be altered). Don’t let the unusual words scare you, you will learn what they mean and how to relate to them in your daily life.
