This yin-style class uses simple, long-held, supported postures to deeply relax breath, mind and body in preparation for meditation. Instructors create sequences that may also incorporate self-massage techniques using props and your own body weight to further release deeply held tension held in the muscles and connective tissues. Rest your body with comfortable stillness in a supported, reclining posture during the second half of class for a meditation practice using guided visualization to help focus and settle the mind.
• THIS CLASS IS GREAT FOR: All levels, including those brand new to yoga
• MUST BRING: Mat; You may also want to bring an extra pillow, body pillow, or wool/fleece blanket you might like to have in addition to the blocks, bolster, and wool blanket provided by the studio
