Yoga Nidra, also known as Psychic Sleep, is the art of conscious relaxation. A meditation technique done in savasana (or corpse pose), Yoga Nidra is part of the Tantric tradition, in which yogis are able to explore the inner chambers of the mind through layers of relaxation. As a practice, Yoga Nidra is a mixture of systematic relaxation, achieved through concentration, breathwork, and guided imagery to help your body and mind come to a completely rested state. The practice is a way to start tapping into your deeper and more subtle layers of self. It is an excellent way to reinvigorate for the coming week--even for the coming month!
