This is a three-class online course taught by Roger
Cole, Ph.D on how to use simple, supported yoga postures,
breathing, meditation and philosophy, guided by up-to-date science,
to fall asleep more easily, fall back to sleep after awakenings,
and recover from lost sleep.
The centerpiece of each 2-hour session will be a guided
yoga practice aimed explicitly at reaching a deep state of
rest, which may include sleep.
Session 1- June 12: How specific asanas release tension,
remove fatigue in order to achieve deep rest.
Session 2 - June 19: How to use pranayama to overcome anxiety
and switch off the mind.
Session 3 - June 26: How to incorporate meditation to achieve
deep, enduring silence, healing and growth.
Roger will introduce every technique with a concise,
easy-to-understand explanation, giving you the knowledge and skills
to personalize your practice and apply it to your life. No prior
yoga experience is required.
Each class will include Q&A time. The course includes
a written handout plus recordings of all the classes
with access to the recordings until two weeks after the end of
the last session.
