Yin yoga is an all levels class. Poses are generally from a seated or recumbent position and are usually held for at least 2-3min. The class focuses on increasing the flexibility of your joints and connective tissue, while decrease pain, stiffness and releasing stress. This practice will also incorporate the breath to help anchor the mind in the present moment allowing the student to focus on how the body feels in each pose. Each class ends with a relaxing breathing exercise and body scan. This class incorporates blocks, straps, bolsters and blankets. If you do not have these items, they can easily be substituted with household items.
