Yinsight Yoga is a deep dive into the tradition of Yin Yoga.
Yin is a slower, more passive practice instead of the active practice you experience with a regular asana flow class.
The longer holds allow us to soften and release into the pose and provide an opportunity for reflective meditation.
Each pose creates mild stress on the fascia, tendons and ligaments to get deeper into our muscles bringing greater hydration and flexibility to those areas.
Stagnation and congestion in the connective tissues creates tension and pain and this practice will aim to release some of this.
Over the course of this four week series, we will regulate our breath, calm our bodies and quiet our minds. Gain a deeper level of insight into your yoga practice by balancing with”yin.”
