If Vinyasa and Hatha are the yang of yoga, this deeply
relaxing, restorative class is appropriately the yin. Each pose
requires enough props so that you can melt into it without any
effort and remain still for several minutes. These longer holds
increase the elasticity of the joints and connective tissue. As you
rest in each pose, you are challenged by finding but not exceeding
your edge, and by keeping the mind as still as the body. The end
result is a refreshing, beautiful practice.
