Pilates Mat Classes focus on the fundamental Pilates movement techniques, including a properly engaged core, shoulder and pelvic stability, and full breathing. The emphasis is on stretching and strengthening your body, primarily the muscles of the core. Pilates Mat movements are adapted to use just your body and a mat for support and cushion. However, Pilates balls, exercise balls, and resistance bands are often used to enhance the movements. Classes are 60 minutes.
